ALTAVISTA TRANSLATOR

This is an excellent resource for persons who are not fluent in English and want to be able to use this site. It also works in the reverse manner so that you can utilize sites that are not created in English. You will need the exact URL for the page you are wanting to translate. You can copy that off the URL bar of your browser. This translator will then go to that URL and translate the page into either French, German, Italian, Portugese or Spanish depending on which language you select.

SURVIVOR IDENTIFICATION CARDS

Written by the founder of The Perspectives Network, this identification card helped out in situations where people mistook many of the symptoms of her TBI for intoxification or other similarly expressed conditions (including mental illness since she does become disoriented in certain stressful situation). What started out as a person tool was made available to other survivors because of the volume of requests she had to share it. It has been carried by survivors in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa.

FAQS (Frequently Asked Questions about Brain Injury):

We have had had the TPN FAQ translated into a number of languages. This is a broad, general response to many of the questions we have received including the signs/symptoms and effects of a brain injury. Currently, you can find the FAQ in: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Chinese and Greek.

Topics are very broad as are the experiences and information shared by survivors, family members and professionals but all of them focus on the issues of brain injury. Many of out articles are not listed by title anywhere on this site simply because there are too many of them. However, they do show up in search results.

TPN MESSAGE BOARD:

Sadly, after having a message board up and available since we first appeared on-line more than15 years ago, we have had to remove it. We did because we were, yet again, being slammed (approx. 2,000 per day) by robot spammers. There wasn’t anything we could to prevent it and we simply don’t have the time to manually deal with that amount of mail .. actually, let’s call it what it was ... pornographic filth.

TPN GUESTBOOK:

We hope that once you've gone through our site, that you'll come back and sign our guestbook. While we would welcome your comments regarding our site, we especially hope that you'll leave messages of hope and encouragement to the other visitors.
